# Media credits (theme `madeira-wallet`)

Every file under `themes/madeira-wallet/media/` that is not our own work, with its author, licence and source.
Source files and review notes: `../../../../media/photos/CREDITS.md` and `manifest.json` (the full-resolution originals).
Update this file in the same commit as any media change.

## Photographs (`images/`)

Pre-sized on 2026-09-26 with `sips` from the originals in `media/photos/`: the large file (hero, at most 2000 px on
the long side, under 300 KB) and the `-sm` file (cards and phones, about 1000-1200 px, at most 150 KB), JPEG quality
70. Resizing or cropping a CC BY-SA photo makes an adaptation, which stays under CC BY-SA and is credited as
"adapted from" the original. Plates and dealer lettering on the car photos are blurred in the originals and stay
illegible at every size.

## Fonts (`fonts/`)

Self-hosted WOFF2 subsets (latin and latin-ext) as served by Google Fonts, downloaded 2026-09-26 from fonts.gstatic.com.
All three families are licensed under the [SIL Open Font License 1.1](https://openfontlicense.org/open-font-license-official-text/),
which allows use, bundling and redistribution with the site. The latin-ext files load only for characters outside Latin-1
(`unicode-range` in `assets/css/layers/00-tokens.css`).

Barlow has no Cyrillic: "Русский" in the language lines falls back to the system sans.

## Icons (`templates/layouts/partials/icons.html`)

The sprite glyphs (sign arrows, WhatsApp mark, phone, pin, calendar and the rest) are drawn for this theme as simple
solid shapes on a 24-unit grid. The "///" slashes, the rubber-stamp grain and the
barcode are drawn for this theme as well (SVG in the templates and CSS tokens). The WhatsApp glyph is a simplified drawing of the WhatsApp mark, used only to label a
link that opens WhatsApp.

## Brand (`media/brand/`)

The Extra Madeira logo (`logo-day.svg` forest, `logo-night.svg` ivory), the face icon (`icon.svg`) and the favicon
are vector traces (potrace, 2026-09-27) of the owner-selected logo `brand/assets/extra-madeira/approved-logo-reference.png`
(outside this repo). The lettering is part of the traced artwork, so the files need no font.
